VIETNAM MARITIME : NASICO - Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited constructs and launches a 65,000DWT cargo ship.

On May 11, in Hai Phong, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited held the launching ceremony of a 65,000DWT bulk carrier, a ship built by the company for the ship's owner - Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company.

This is ship number 1 in a batch of two 65,000 DWT ships ordered by Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Company, named "Truong Minh Dream 01". The ship belongs to the shipbuilding project with the largest tonnage ever implemented by Vietnamese engineers and workers in Hai Phong. The ship is supervised by the NK-Japan Registry.

The ship has a gross tonnage of 65,000DWT, overall length 199.99m, width 32.26m, total capacity 35,823GT. The ship was designed by Vietnam Shipbuilding Technology Joint Stock Company (Visec) in partnership with Blutech Company - Finland with many superior features compared to similar product lines in the world.

All stages of manufacturing this ship are carried out by a team of engineers and skilled workers of Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company and domestic contractors.

The ship is designed, built and installed with modern equipment, meets the latest international conventions and is classified by the Import Registry - Japan to be able to operate in all international waters. international standards, as well as satisfying the requirements of all seaports in the world.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Director of Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company, this is the largest cargo ship built in Vietnam to date, a ship line with the most modern design and superiority. in terms of resistance, fuel consumption efficiency and exhaust gas quality, reducing ship weight to the optimal level, satisfying the strict conditions of port authorities in the US, Europe and Australia.

Immediately after the successful launching ceremony of the ship, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company proceeded to lay the keel of the 65,000DWT cargo ship No. 2 for the ship's owner - Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company.
